Meet the team

B.J. Hill wants to live in a world where nobody cares whether you’re a square peg or a round hole, “round” counts as getting in shape, and you don’t have to get your shit together before you’re allowed to belong.

She’s the founder and CEO of Jibbly, where she puts her creative brain to work making swag for people who get attached to fictional characters. As an author herself, she especially loves working with other authors to turn something they dreamed up into something their readers can hold, wear, and collect.

B.J. also writes contemporary romance about complicated people with baggage, questionable coping mechanisms, and a shot at something good. She has a soft spot for characters who make a mess of things and still deserve to be loved.

She’s the sunshine to her grumpy-ish college sweetheart, mom to the three coolest offspring in the world, and devoted subject to her feline royal majesties, Belle and Lucy. When she’s not writing about her imaginary friends, you can find her reading, using her outside voice at inopportune moments, or being generally awkward. Awesome. She meant awesome.

Kira keeps Jibbly moving. As our partner and COO, she handles the details, coordinates the logistics, and makes sure everything gets where it needs to go. A creative business comes with plenty of ideas and moving parts, and Kira puts in the work to make them happen.

She brings a reassuring mix of responsibility and enthusiasm to the team. We count on her to pay attention, follow through, and have a good time with us along the way. She takes her work seriously, but she’s always up for some fun—which makes her a pretty perfect fit for a company called Jibbly.

Nickie helps keep Jibbly’s team organized, supported, and ready for whatever’s next. As our executive and operations assistant, she works closely with B.J. and pitches in across the business, helping us keep up with the everyday demands of running Jibbly.

She especially loves traveling to book events, where she gets to spend time with the team and be part of the book community in person. She also looks after the people behind the business, including checking that we’ve all taken our daily meds. It’s a small detail that says a lot about Nickie: she cares about the work, and she cares about us. We’re very glad she’s coming along.

Katie is Jibbly’s staff momager and a trusted voice of wisdom. Every team needs someone they can turn to for sound advice, and we’re lucky to have her. She brings care and perspective to the work, along with a love of the book community that extends well beyond Jibbly.

Happily married and a mom to three wonderful kids, Katie spends much of her time outside work reading romance novels and planning and hosting book signings with her two closest friends. Bringing readers and authors together is something she loves being part of, from the planning to the actual hugs. She also loves to travel, especially when the trip leaves room for a little adventure and a few uninterrupted chapters.

Emma is our favorite Canadian and Jibbly’s influencer team manager. An avid romance reader with a particular love for dark romance, she knows how much a good recommendation can mean to an author—and how quickly it can derail a reader’s plans for the evening.

Outside her work with Jibbly, Emma spends her free time reading and supporting her favorite authors as an influencer and street team member. That experience gives her a personal understanding of the work our influencer team does and the relationships behind it. She loves helping authors find their readers, and she’s happy to contribute to your growing TBR in the process.
